Is T-Mobile Getting iPhone 5

September 9, 2011 by John · Leave a Comment

In the U.S., iPhone is currently only available on AT&T and Verizon Wireless network. Is T-Mobile getting the iPhone 5. According to many news outlets and rumor sites, iPhone 5 will be available on T-Mobile and Sprint as well at October’s release. That means more choices for consumers. There has been heavy demand on the iPhone from T-Mobile users - one million of them currently using iPhones that can only run 2G speed on T-Mobile’s 3G network. This time if TMobile still offers the $99.99 unlimited data, talk, and text plan for 2 lines of iPhone 5 I am sure many of us will ditch the $25/2GB data plan from AT&T or the $30/5GB data plan from Verizon Wireless. What’s even more incredible is that you can add 3 additional iPhones for $15 each. So 5 lines of iPhone 5 will only cost you $145 a month. Can’t wait!

Will Sprint Offer Unlimited Data Plan on iPhone 5

We pretty much know that Sprint will start selling the new iPhone 5 in October. But one thing we are not sure yet is that will Sprint offer unlimited data plan on iPhone 5? We very much hope so. According to Bloomberg news, Sprint will continue to offer unlimited data when they introduce the iPhone 5 later this year. Unlike AT&T and Verizon Wireless who cap iPhone data usage at 2GB and 5GB respectively, Sprint will be the only carrier that gives you true unlimited date use. If you are an iPhone user stuck with 2GB or 5GB plan on AT&T or Verizon Wireless you should seriously think about switching to Sprint this time. But before you do that, make sure you can still afford the high ETF of $350 in case you are still in contract. Existing AT&T and Verizon Wireless customers who have been grandfathered unlimited data plans will still be able to keep them when upgrading to iPhone 5.
