What Carriers will Carry the Blackberry Bold

September 5, 2008 by John · Leave a Comment

With the new Blackberry Bold launching anytime soon, you may wonder what carriers will have the Blackberry Bold first in the US. The Bold was widely expected to be released by the end of this summer. Well, although the summer is not officially over yet. For me, the heat is over unless I can get my hands on the Blackberry Bold soon. Who will have the Blackberry Bold first? AT&T, the much anticipated 3G RIM smartphone will be available first through AT&T. Then followed by T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless. Until then, expect to pay around $300 for the Bold with a 2-year contract. When all the carriers have the Bold in stock later this year, you will probably see the price drop a bit. Consumers stand to gain the most as different mobile carriers compete to lure new customers during the holiday shopping season. For me, which wireless carrier will have the phone will least affect my purchasing decision as I will be just out of a 2-year long contract this month. Lucky me.

Why Do You Switch to ATT Wireless

Why Switch to ATT Wireless
If you ask me why I switched to at&t, I can tell you it’s not just about the network, it’s also the phone. While at&t has exclusive offers like the iphone, there are lots of other phones that are worth mentioning like the Sony Ericsson z750a (also exclusive on at&t) that functions as both a wireless phone and mp3 player and Samsung Blackjack II (exclusive on at&t). AT&T’s has been upgrading its network to the latest 3G and now covers more areas than other GSM carriers. One advantage of using at&t is that even if you travel to other parts of the world such as Europe and Asia, the phone will still work. However, the international rate can be quite expensive. It’s better to buy a SIM card for the locals.
