Palm Pixi Specs
September 9, 2009 by John
We learned some of the original Eos Specs back in April and now we’ve got the official Palm Pixi Specs. The Pixi phone is heading to Sprint this holiday season with some cool features to offer. Here are some highlights:
What makes the Palm Pixi very different from all other touchscreen phone is the 2.63-inch, 320 x 400 capacitive display. Most other touch screen phones have 320×240 resolution. There is no doubt the higher pixels will make pictures and web browsing a better experience.
You won’t find too many moving parts on the Pixi. In fact the full QWERTY is built very steady right beneath the screen and feels really well put together. The Pixi includes a ringer on/off switch similar to the iPhone. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a removable 1150mAh battery.
One thing we notices on the Palm Pixi Specs is that the processor (CPU) is powered by Qualcomm MSM7627, which is smaller than TI OMAP3 chip found in the Pre. It all makes sense since the Pixi has a smaller and slimmer form factor. The internal storage has 8GB of space. Running on Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. A 3G network, there is not much difference in initial performance test along with the Pre.
Overall, these Palm Pixi specs are something we are very excited about and hopefully can get our hands on the final product soon.
