TMobile Unlimited Family Plan $79.99

TMobile Unlimited Family Plan $79.99The new TMobile Unlimited Family Plan $79.99 looks cheap. But there is a catch. You have to buy phone at retail prices. We are talking about a few hundred bucks here for most of the new full-featured phones and you still have to sign a 2-year contract. The upfront cost is huge in my opinion. If you choose you cancel the contract before it expires you are still obligated to pay the early termination fee. Another option is pay nothing upfront or very little on a brand new phone. Most of the phones including smartphones like BlackBerry and Android phones are free out of pocket with a new plan.

The T-Mobile Even More Plus Unlimited Family Plan $79.99 requires you pay retail price on every line. 5 lines can easily cost you $2500 while the T-Mobile Even More Unlimited $99.99 plan can get you the same phones for free? That’s HUGE savings you don’t want to pass. At first glance, the regular Even More unlimited Talk plan is $20 more then Even More Plus for the first 2 lines. Additional line is $10 more than Even More Plus. So, the difference on 5 lines is $50 a month, or $1200 throughout the entire contract. But if you factor in $2500 total savings on smartphones, you will end up saving $1300. Hope this information can help you decide which plan to choose :)

    Your math is waaaaaaayyyyyy off!
You ASUME 5 lines @ $2500, let say I just want 2 phones (mom and dad) @ $300 a piece (fair price), that is still below the $1200 thru the life of the contract.
I think it is woth it. However I suggest no contract plans, don’t let these companies hold you.

@Bolido, I was talking about smartphones like 5 Blackberry Bold @ $2500. You need to consider both the phone cost and monthly fee to figure out which one is better.

For me, prepaid rules. I did a bit of research and discovered NET10 was the best for my purposes. I don’t use a lot of minutes — maybe 200 or so a month — and I’m not a mad texter or websurfer either, but 10¢ a minute for calls and 3¢ for texts is crazy good. And no fees per day or other bs.

I got a very nice Samsung phone with a slide-out qwerty keyboard and no one knows it’s prepaid. Costs me a big $30 a month for all my stuff.
