Why Buy Smartphones?

March 14, 2007 by John

Do you think Samsung blackjack will outsell all other smartphones? What features are missing in other pda phones? According to wirefly.com, there have been more people buying smatphones in the past 6 months. The most popular ones are Cingular blackjack, Motorola Q, and blackberry pearl. Where is Palm Treo stand? And Windows Mobile phones made my HTC? What makes Samsung blackjack and the motorola Q more popular can be largely attributed to the steep price difference. The best deal that i found on the cingular blackjack is $0 after rebates. The cheapest Treo 700p cost you $199 after rebates and promotions. These are still very good deals compared buying at your local wireless stores. And not many people are aware of these deals since most people go straight to the cell phone stores. The second and i believe the most important one is the commercials that have been running. Personally, I haven’t seen many Treo commercials lately. the Samsung blackjack and motorola Q are the most aggressive when it comes to tv and newspaper ads.

Palm already has an answer for its competitors. The Treo 680 is a consumer oriented smartphone that has all the bells for emails, web browsing, calendars, memos ect. You can get this phone for free after all the promotions. Don’t go to local cingular stores, go search online.

Motorola never made a decent smart phone until they introduce the Q last year. Not that they never tried to make one. They just couldn’t make ones that are as hot as the razr. to build on the success over the razor phone, they follow the thin is in trend that everyone else chasing after. so, how did this phone fair. In terms of popularity, it falls slightly behind the blackjack even motorola had a head start. Price wise, the Q is also free after rebates. Currently Verizon and Sprint are selling them in two different colors - black and silver. Red may be coming soon.
