Motorola SLVR L7c is the latest 3G music phone from Verizon. The MOTOSLVR L7c is loaded with Bluetooth, a digital camera and camcorder, huge battery life, VCAST streaming video and music and downloadable music, high-speed data downloads and much more. Like the razr and the rest of SLVR series, this phone is super thin. If you are looking for a mp3 music phones from Motorola, this is your best choice for now.

Watch TVs on Your Cell Phones
March 15, 2007 by John · Leave a Comment
NBC has announced that it would make its prime-time shows available for downloads directly to your cellphones. Hit shows like “The Office” and “Heroes” will sell for $1.99 through MobiTV. However, you can’t keep the shows, and must finish watching them within 24 hours. One of the noticeable features is that you don’t have to watch the entire show at once. The software has the ability to track where you stop and can resume whenever you are ready to watch again. If you are traveling a lot and don’t have a tivo to save all your favorite shows, this is very mobile way of keeping up with the latest episodes. But would you really want to watch “Heroes” on a 2 inch screen while it’s available in your 50 inch HD TV at home. Besides the limited viewing property on a cell phone, the so-call mobile broadband technology is not as good as you would expect. I have used both Verizon and Sprint’s EV-DO network to watch streaming news. The quality is not impressive at all, I wasn’t even able to see the face of TV anchors. So, how do you really know which Hero you are watch on a tiny 2 inch screen?
Why Buy Smartphones?
Do you think Samsung blackjack will outsell all other smartphones? What features are missing in other pda phones? According to wirefly.com, there have been more people buying smatphones in the past 6 months. The most popular ones are Cingular blackjack, Motorola Q, and blackberry pearl. Where is Palm Treo stand? And Windows Mobile phones made my HTC? What makes Samsung blackjack and the motorola Q more popular can be largely attributed to the steep price difference. The best deal that i found on the cingular blackjack is $0 after rebates. The cheapest Treo 700p cost you $199 after rebates and promotions. These are still very good deals compared buying at your local wireless stores. And not many people are aware of these deals since most people go straight to the cell phone stores. The second and i believe the most important one is the commercials that have been running. Personally, I haven’t seen many Treo commercials lately. the Samsung blackjack and motorola Q are the most aggressive when it comes to tv and newspaper ads.
Palm already has an answer for its competitors. The Treo 680 is a consumer oriented smartphone that has all the bells for emails, web browsing, calendars, memos ect. You can get this phone for free after all the promotions. Don’t go to local cingular stores, go search online.
Motorola never made a decent smart phone until they introduce the Q last year. Not that they never tried to make one. They just couldn’t make ones that are as hot as the razr. to build on the success over the razor phone, they follow the thin is in trend that everyone else chasing after. so, how did this phone fair. In terms of popularity, it falls slightly behind the blackjack even motorola had a head start. Price wise, the Q is also free after rebates. Currently Verizon and Sprint are selling them in two different colors – black and silver. Red may be coming soon.
Why buy an iPhone?
March 14, 2007 by John · Leave a Comment
Why do you want to buy an iPhone? It’s expensive, it’s not 3g, it does not have a full QWERTY keyboard outside the screen, and it does not run on palm OS or Windows Mobile. So what’s so good about the apple iphone? Why can’t you get a regular phone that’s free out of pocket?
These are the questions that many might ask when the iphone finally comes out in June. it took Steve Jobs over 2 years to develop this revolutionary product, it has to be something right? Let’s take a look at what iphone offers that other don’t – a super large touch screen that fits into your pocket. a full QWERTY keyboard that stays on the screen when you need it and disappear when you want to use more screen space. Did I mention the iphone gives you full HTML web browsing. None of the smartphones in the market today can do that. What are other reasons that make you want to buy iphones?
Palm’s Future
March 14, 2007 by John · Leave a Comment
The latest rumor is palm will be scooped up by nokia or Motorola. This is not the first time similar speculation has come up. what i really wish for is apple would buy palm. Remember the first PDA made by apple – the Newton. it wasn’t a success. But palm picked up the trend and made a hit with palm pilot.
Did apple ever consider buying palm at all? It was very possible before decide to make their own cell phone. But now who will. The only product that nokia and Motorola are interested is the popular Treo phone. Since most of the nokia smart phones runs on Sybian which is a very popular smart phone OS in Europe. And Motorola, they had put palm OS in their cellphones before, with little success. now the windows mobile has been gaining ground over palm OS, and the moto Q is fairly successful. why would motorola buy palm?
Sorry, palm fans, you are so alone. If it has not been the treo phone, palm would have fallen apart by now. And the Treo is not even an original product by palm.
if nokia and Motorola wont, who will? Maybe dell or hp. it a logical step for dell to expand their product line by entering the cellular market after all. Although their pc market share has been deteriorating and the printer hasn’t caught up well lately. Having another hot product will certainly help dell to diverse stream of revenue. But at the time being, dell is really having trouble selling pcs the way they used to. In case you haven’t noticed, Dell is still in the pda business, thought not doing so well. Do you think it would be unwise for dell to pursuit the smartphone area that they are totally unfamiliar with? As for hp, it would also be a logical step for HP to scoop up a long time competitor in the pda arena. Maybe, it has been rumors before, but it never came true.
